To-day's Haydn's birthday, so here's one of his minuets. I got this from
James Bastien's The Older Beginner Piano Course, Level 2, but it's also
in Bastien's Easy Piano Classics. I used the Pianet T
sample.

Bass 3
So far on this blog, I've been sticking to the Zacharias-designed Hohner keyboards. I don't know if he had anything to do with these Bass keyboards (which are basically Hohner's version of the Fender Piano Bass), but I think they're interesting, so I'm posting this collection of pictures. I also found the user manual on Internet Archive (although it seems to be a different edition than what's pictured above).

Clavinet L
I put this in the post where I transcribed and translated the Clavinet demonstration record, but I thought I'd post it separately too. Ernst Zacharias playing a Clavinet L:

The Kinks' Hohner Pianet
Last week, the Kinks' social media pages posted a picture of the band from 1971. On the left, there's a Hohner keyboard that I'm pretty sure is a Pianet N. The style of legs clearly indicates that it's an N model, and from what I can tell, the Cembalet N didn't have the Hohner name printed on the back panel like this instrument does.
(The picture in the Facebook post has a slightly higher resolution, which is the only reason I'm embedding it rather than the Instagram post.)
I have all of the Kinks' albums up to The Village Green Preservation Society (from 1968). After that, I have only a couple, so I'm not very familiar with this era of the band. I think the keyboard player here is John Gosling.
This is the first picture I've seen of the Pianet's swell pedal being used.
