The Moody Blues' "Lose Your Money (But Don't Lose Your Mind)"
Last week, Denny Laine's Instagram account posted a video of the Moody Blues miming to "Lose Your Money (But Don't Lose Your Mind)" on Ready Steady Go! in 1964.
Mike Pinder appears to be playing a Hohner Pianet (years ago, I wrote about a slightly better quality picture of it), so the video seems to confirm a suspicion I had earlier this year after listening to the fiftieth anniversary edition of The Magnificent Moodies (for only the second time): Pinder played Pianet on "Lose Your Money (But Don't Lose Your Mind)." It's a bit buried in the mix, though.

The Zombies' Hohner Pianet
This picture of Rod Argent and his Pianet (the C model, I think) was recently posted on the Zombies' Instagram account. The caption claims that this was the 1964 session at Decca when "She's Not There" was recorded, although I'm a bit skeptical of this. A second post (with this picture and various others) shows Chris White with his Gibson bass, which he got after the "She's Not There" session. In this video, he explains that he used a homemade bass on "She's Not There."
